| Democracy/Human Rights project :
|
Many people in rural Cambodia have a low understanding of democracy and human rights.Hence RCEDO currently now aims to improve the living standards of rural people by increasing their basic knowledge of human rights and democracy. RCEDO's Human Rights, Democracy and Decentralization project is called the Citizen’s Rating Report Project (CRR). CRR is a grass-roots advocacy project for improving the lives of rural people through enhancing civic engagement.This project, RCEDO implement a range of activities including:
Educates rural people about
their right to have an opinion and express ideas about governance.
Capacity building of local
authority on planning, project management, human rights,democracy
and accounability.
Provides local people with an
opportunity to voice their opinions and ideas at Public Forum in
order to create change the quality of local services and local
governance.

| Water Sanitation Projects: |
Many Cambodians do not have access to clean water for drinking. Families also lack the quantity of water necessary to maintain high levels of domestic sanitation and agricultural production. In response, RCEDO works with village people to provide:
Drill water wells and Equip
Hand Pumps; These pumps supply clean and readily available water to
village families for drinking,cooking,and farming.
Build Water Ponds and
Distribute Water Filters; Where ground water is not available,RCEDO
works with the village people to build ponds and distribute water
filters to treat water from surface sources in the target areas.
Household Latrine building
Projects; To further improve water sanitation in the villages, RCEDO
also helps families build latrines, and provides education on the
importance of latrine use in their household.

| Health Projects: |
Many families living in rural Cambodia have extremely poor health and hygiene. HIV/AIDS is prevalent, as is many water born diseases, and malnutrition. Poor health contributes to the entrenched poverty because it prevents people from working to earn an income. To improve the health of rural Cambodians, RCEDO implements a range of health projects including:
Education workshops on health
and hygiene awareness,disease, HIV/AIDS prevention and and
antidiscrimination.
Homw Base Care for orphans
vulnerable children(OVC)and families living with HIV/AIDS through
providing food and financial support.
Seft Help Groups (SHG) provide
support and income generation activties for families living with
HIV/AIDS through providing income source and skills.

| Agriculture Projects: |
Many families in northwest Cambodia do not have enough food to eat and some of them are illegal immigration to Thailand border because of low agricultural production, income sources or no job. In response of the poor people needs, RCEDO works with village people to improve their agricultural production through providing agriculture projects such as:
Home gardening skills training
& inputs.
Compost fertilizer made
training & inputs
Establish Community Cow/Pig
bank.
Organizing Community Rice
Bank.
Revolving funds provide to
start up farming activities.

| Natural Resource Management project : |
Many community land grabbing issues that is made by Power man (Authoritative & Riches man) or soldier commander in Cambodia.Through these issues, the rural people in target areas have more affected to their living. In other hands,many rural people in Cambodia, have low knowledge and lack of understanding on the preservation of natural resources and environment protection.Many wild animal and forestries have been destroyed. In response, RCEDO works with village people to improve their basic knowledge of the preservation of natural resources through providing:
Educate rural people about the
preservation of Natural Resource and social environmental
protection.
Establish Community Forestry
and train on the preservation and renovation.
Organize the Public Awarebess
campaign to target people.
