About Us
Rural Community and Environment Development Organization (RCEDO) is an independent Cambodian Non-Government Organization.
RCEDO was founded and registered at the Ministry of Interior on 13 July 1998, with registration number N054. It was formed by Cambodian volunteers and a technical assistance group comprising of former CARE International and UNDP/CARERE employees.
RCEDO worked closely with the government development institutions, International and Local Cooperation Partners such as ZOA Refugee Care, Action Aid Cambodia, ADDA, CHAIN/SNV, JSAC, and also is a member of CNGO Network, NGO Forum, CCC, CHF Cambodia. RCEDO’s donor was CARITAS Switzerland, FHI360-USAID, The Czech Republic, Diakonia, AusAID, FAO/EU, The Asia Foundation (TAF), World Bank, The Embassy of Japan, CANADA Fund, The Netherlands Embassy, New Zealand Embassy, etc.
RCEDO keep challenging these circumstances in order to eradicate long-lasting poverty by using socially and environmentally sustainable development approaches. The needs base approach provides the poorest with new opportunities to increase a better living standard of the venerable family and CBO/or Agriculture Cooperative (AC) by providing the capacity building, support climate smart agriculture inputs and small grants to start up livelihood activities and business activities for generated income.
